RTCA has voted once again to honour the surveillance, separation and safety division of Egis Avia, and particularly the work done by Eric Vallauri, one of the company’s ATM Experts.

RTCA recognises the contributions to DO-319, safety, performance and interoperability requirements document for enhanced traffic situational awareness during flight operations (ATSA-AIRB). This ADS-B application provides flight crews with a graphical display of airborne traffic relative to their aircraft together with supporting information on that traffic.

RTCA will publicly recognise the works on 15 June, 2011, during the RTCA Annual Symposium- Accelerating NextGen through Public-Private Partnership to be held in Washington, DC.

Egis Avia had already been recognised by RTCA for its research works related to the traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) especially its contribution to producing new specifications for the TCAS II system.
