Renowned for providing innovative and practical airfield lighting solutions, atg airports also offer an extensive range of after sales and maintenance support services, enabling airports to increase reliability and availability whilst at the same time improving the efficiency of their maintenance team.

Continuous development, both structurally and technically of an airfield, as well as that of the regulations and standards which govern the industry, are challenging airport operators to satisfy an ever changing array of demands. New directives and quality standards now set benchmarks for technical installations as well as the competence of the maintenance personnel and the safety of work processes.

AGL control system service contracts from atg are currently in operation at a number of major airports in the UK, helping to maintain efficient and cost effective operations. Each contract is designed specifically around the needs of the airport, providing a bespoke programme of maintenance activities to be completed over the course of the agreement. Amongst the different services provided are scheduled substation visits to perform routine maintenance and performance analysis of the system, a dedicated 24/7 call out engineer and call centre response, responsibility for all modifications to the existing system and being able to attend regular design meetings with airport operators as part of airside development programmes.

As part of a commitment to provide customers with first class after sales support for all of its products, atg airports also work alongside airport engineering teams to offer an airside maintenance support service. As part of agreements currently in place at a number of airports, atg teams are responsible for airside electrical and AGL installations including LV and fibre optic work, fault finding on the airfield circuits, high mast lighting and installation of docking guidance systems.

Improvements to the airside infrastructure often include the introduction of new technologies, with maintenance staff involved requiring regular training in accordance with international standards. To help airports and their staff maintain high levels of efficiency, atg airports offer a range of training courses designed to cover all aspects of airfield lighting maintenance techniques.
