AGI has released a new white paper on the benefits of portable battery powered LED runway lighting.

Portable aviation lighting is nothing new and has been around for decades, with arguably its earliest form being the goose neck flares used from the early 1940’s during wartime.

Although lighting technologies have moved on significantly from these primitive but effective visual landing aids, the principle and importance of being able to deploy runway lights quickly to allow landing of aircraft in the dark or with poor visibility to an assigned airstrip remains the same.

AGI’s new brochure is available to download for free via the white paper section of their company profile on the Airport Technology website.
