Metalite LED Products to be Launched

Metalite have been a market leader in Portable Airfield Lighting solutions since the 1960’s. The core product ‘COREL’ (Combined Omni-Directional Runway Edge Light) as well as the other lights in the range utilize conventional incandescent technology light source, which has proven highly successful since its inception. However recent significant improvements to the capabilities of LED technology as an alternative light source lends itself well to the complete Metalite portfolio of products and solutions. Rather than being just another supplier of LED Airfield lighting, Metalite has strived to be the best in their area of the market, and the new product arrivals boast some particularly impressive statistics in both performance, low maintenance requirements and environmental benefits.

The new range of LED portable aviation lights will be launched at ATC Global in Amsterdam on March 8th -10th 2011. Metalite representatives will be available at stand R501 to demonstrate and educate visitors on the new products.

Adam Monaghan who is the lead engineer for our development program, describes the latest LED products as the best in their class. He continues “from the start we wanted to ensure our LED products had a definitive edge over our competitors offerings. This has been achieved through meticulous development and testing, and we can now boast that we have arguably the most energy efficient portable runway lighting solutions available today. “Coupled with our traditional high quality build standards, our hassle free low maintenance lights will certainly be around for many years to come, providing a huge return on investment for our customers”. “Our new LED PAPI system is a huge leap forward in terms of the technology and end results, which can only be of benefit to Civilian Airports and our Military customers across the world”.
