Austro Control, responsible for all air traffic control in Austria, has been looking for a straightforward back up system for five of its locations. Austro Control preferred a switchless solution to avoid a central location. After evaluation, the MEP switchless 5.7 inch consoles have been selected. In close cooperation between MEP and Austro Control, specific requirements and configuration requests have been realised, within time and budget.

Mr. Baumgartner of Austro Control states: “Throughout the project, I have been very impressed and pleased with the overall project management of MEP. MEP has been very fast in responding to any request, clarification, or documents we needed. Furthermore, they have taken our feedback into development of some new functionalities for their switchless solution.”

The project was realised in 2020 and was put in operation in Q1 2021.
