The SVS995 is a standalone console which supports up to four radios, analogue, IP connected ED137 or any mix of the two. Because it can be powered via Power Over Ethernet (POE) only a single wire is needed to connect and power this console for ED137 radios. The product is designed with the latest techniques, however we have ensured backward compatibility with our TCS990 series as well as forward compatibility with our future systems.
Applications
Direct ED137 connection
The SVS995 can be used to operate ED137 radios directly or interface with remote analogue radios using MEP’s ED137 gateway, the CRU995. The SVS995 can operate up to four transmitters and four receivers simultaneously. The settings of the console, such as the names or frequencies of the radio channels, can be configured using the website embedded in the console.
Redundant POE
The SVS995 can be powered redundantly via POE, it is hot pluggable and features seamless switchover without loss of communication. Apart from the POE, it can be directly powered with a 12V input, which can be combined with POE to create a redundant power supply.
Analogue Radios
The SVS995 can also be used to operate analogue radios directly using a D-SUB connection on the rear of the console. This connector features four E&M ports, a connection for an external loudspeaker and a foot operated PTT. This connector is backwards compatible to MEP’s existing SVS990 console.
Mixed analogue and ED137
Any combination of analogue and ED137 radios can be used up to four transmitters and four transceivers. The connections can be configured using the website embedded in the console.
Legal Recording
The SVS995 features one analogue port which can be configured to produce legal recording. Activating this feature limits the analogue ports to three receivers and transmitters but has no implications for ED137 radios.
