Boeing is expected to deliver the first batch of 787 Dreamliner aircraft to China in the first quarter of 2011.

Boeing executive vice-president James Albaugh said the company was working to solve the quality issues that had caused the delay in delivery.

The aircraft manufacturer, which originally planned to launch the 787 in 2008, had to defer its plan due to delays caused by parts shortages and redesign work.

Japanese air carrier All Nippon Airways will be the first recipient of the 787 aircraft.

China’s airlines has ordered a total of 60 787 planes, each costing $200m.

The Boeing 787 aircraft can accommodate 200 to 300 passengers, according to english.peopledaily.com.
