Sahaab Aircraft Leasing, a fully owned subsidiary of Jazeera Airways Group, has placed four A320 aircraft on long-term leases with Airbus.

The contract is valued at $155m.

This is Sahaab’s first lease to a US-based customer and comes only a few months after the company was acquired by Jazeera Airways Group in February 2010.

The A320 aircraft, powered by CFM56-5 or IAE V2500 engines, can accommodate 150 passengers in a typical two-class cabin layout and has a 3,000nm / 5,550km range, according to zawya.com.
