Rockwell Collins has delivered a virtual avionics procedures trainer (VAPT) system to Corporate Aircraft SA, a dealer of Hawker Beechcraft aircraft, for an unnamed customer.

The VAPT will train pilots flying King Air aircraft equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics.

Rockwell Collins Simulation and Training Solutions vice-president and general manager Ken Schreder said the VAPT is a cost-effective solution with embedded avionics software for greater fidelity and more realistic procedures training than desktop systems.

The system, based on Rockwell’s advanced simulation architecture, features modular, expandable and configurable technology, PC-based hardware and rehosted avionics software.
