The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is seeking research proposals for its greenhouse gases-observing satellite (GOSAT) project.
Satellite Ibuki was launched into space in January 2009 and is providing observational data and processed products.
JAXA is looking for research proposals for the third time that will facilitate the data quality evaluation, including calibration, validation and the utilisation of the GOSAT data.
The National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) are supporting the GOSAT project with JAXA.
The agencies accepted a total of 88 research proposals for the first and the second research announcements.
