Space Shuttle Atlantis has successfully returned to Earth from the International Space Station after completing mission STS-132.
The third of five missions scheduled for 2010 marks the final scheduled flight for Atlantis, which has logged over 120 million miles during its 25 years of service.
During the STS-132 mission, Atlantis delivered the Russian-built mini research module-1 that provides additional storage space and a new docking port for the Russian Soyuz and Progress spacecraft.
Three spacewalks were also undertaken to replace and install components outside the station, including replacing six batteries, installing a communications antenna and adding parts to the Canadian Dextre robotic arm.
