Allegiant Air’s fleet of 46 MD-80 aircraft is to receive maintenance and modification services from AAR.

Scheduled maintenance work will be performed at AAR’s MRO facilities in Miami and Oklahoma City.

The firm’s Indianapolis facility will support the airline’s unscheduled maintenance requirements including technical and engineering support services.

The five-year support deal expands on an October 2008 agreement, under which AAR performed maintenance on six of Allegiant’s MD-80 aircraft.

AAR’s provides MRO, engineering and logistics capabilities to lower costs, increase asset availability, and ensure high levels of quality, safety and service.
