Piper Aircraft is offering the fully-integrated Garmin G1000 avionics suite as optional equipment for its Mirage and Matrix aircraft.
The G1000 provides flight instrumentation, navigation, communications, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data digitally on three large-format, high-resolution displays.
The avionic suite also offers Garmin’s synthetic vision technology (SVT), which offers a 3D depiction of terrain, obstacles and traffic on the primary flight display to replicate images outside the cockpit.
The SVT also features a flight path marker, pathways and runway highlighting and airport signs.
The Meridian, Mirage and Matrix aircraft currently feature Avidyne’s advanced glass avionics suite and the FlightMax Entegra integrated flight deck as standard equipment.
