Airbus has further delayed the delivery of the A380 Super Jumbo aircraft with the first deliveries now scheduled for August 2011 from January 2011.
The A380 is a new family of large passenger aircraft that can seat up to 528 passengers and travel; up to 8200nm at M 0.89 speed.
The delivery of six A380s were to initially take place in January 2007, according to AFP.
Subsequent aircraft deliveries will be pushed back to the latter part of 2011 and into 2012.
Airbus has said that the carrier will be compensated for the delay in the delivery of the aircraft.
