Rolls-Royce has revealed a new engine in the AE3007 series, the AE 3007A2, which will power Embraer’s new Legacy 650 executive jet.

The AE 3007A2 offers 6% to 12% higher altitude take-off and climb thrust, higher flow, more efficient wide-chord fan than its predecessor.

The new fan incorporates 38.5in compound swept fan blades with a new bypass vane and core vane.

The engine also features updated software, which yields higher efficiency and optimises long-range cruise fuel consumption.

The Legacy 650 jet can fly up to 3,900nm at a cruising speed of Mach 0.80 and and is able to operate at airfields up to 13,800ft elevation.

The engine enables the jet to perform well in hot and high destinations.
