Turkish Airlines has placed an order for seven additional 777-300ER aircraft worth $1.9bn from Boeing.
The airline has already ordered five 777-300ERs and the additional aircraft will support its plan for international expansion.
The twin-engine, twin-aisle plane can fly 365 passengers in a three-class configuration up to a range of 7,930nm.
The aircraft produces 22% less carbon dioxide and costs 20% less to operate a seat, the company claims.
Turkish Airlines founded in 1933 has direct flights to 108 international and 33 domestic destinations.
