Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and DETA Air will engage in long-term cooperative efforts under a general terms agreement.
The first phase of the agreement will involve heavy checks on two of DETA Air’s DC-10-40SF aircraft by IAI’s Bedek Aviation Group.
IAI vice-president for strategy and planning Baruch Mevorach said that the deal was significant for IAI since Central Asia is emerging as a new region for economic growth and will witness increased cargo flights.
IAI is an aircraft manufacturer and also offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services.
DETA Air is a Kazakhstan cargo carrier that has operations in UAE, Turkey and China.
