Boeing has announced the formation of an unmanned airborne systems (UAS) division within its defence and space business unit to manage its UAS business at this year’s Paris Air Show.
Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) president and CEO Jim Albaugh said that the new division establishes a single leadership team focused on implementing a common strategy for UAS and services, and ensures access to resources and capabilities from across IDS.

The new UAS division will take on programme management responsibility for the A160T Hummingbird, Unmanned Little Bird and SolarEagle (Vulture) programmes.
The wholly owned Boeing subsidiary Insitu, which manufactures the ScanEagle and Integrator unmanned aerial systems, will report to the UAS division.
