A new flight training device (FTD) for Daher-Socata’s TBM850 aircraft has been introduced to the SimCom Training Centre in Orlando, Florida.

The FTD is equipped with TBM 850’s Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite and high-resolution visual system for creating a near-real-life training environment.

The training device uses a Redifun RASTER XT image generator with a 172-deg-wide field of view which offers continuous time of the day operations.

The device also has some added functions on the instructor touch screens along with an enhanced audio system.

TBM 850 is the world’s fastest single engine turboprop, with a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000ft.

Simcom is a leading provider of simulator training service for business, general aviation and regional airline pilots.
