International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has finalised an order for the purchase of 100 A320neo family aircraft from Airbus.

ILFC chief executive Henri Courpron said that the order would build its fleet portfolio, which already represents a significant widebody aircraft inventory, and further position ILFC as a responsive and resourceful aircraft lessor.

The agreement with Airbus provides flexibility to ILFC to select the models, but initially includes both A320neo and A321neo for a total of 100 aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney has already been selected to power at least 60 aircraft with their PurePower PW1100G engines.

Airbus will begin the aircraft deliveries in 2015.
