Meggitt Avionics has received a contract from AgustaWestland to supply its secondary flight display system for AW101 medium lift, AW139 medium-sized multirole twin-engined and AB212 utility helicopters.
The iSFD is a third-generation solid-state secondary flight display system which will show critical flight data such as attitude, altitude, air speed and heading to pilots.
The system will help pilots in easy transition to standby during an emergency.
iSFD has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The system has been selected by military and commercial programmes which includes the Boeing Apache, HondaJet, Learjet 85 and the Korean medium-weight utility helicopter, KAI Surion.
