QinetiQ North America has been awarded the engineering services contract to design and develop systems for Nasa’s Kennedy Space Center in the US.
Under the $1.9bn contract, QinetiQ will design and develop ground systems and equipment for handling, testing, servicing and ground processing of launch vehicles, spacecraft and payloads.
The company will also perform flight systems engineering for space flight hardware and software, develop technology to meet Nasa’s mission operational requirements and provide cross-cutting technical services.
QinetiQ also supports Nasa’s Glenn Research Center in Ohio and the Goddard Spaceflight Center in Maryland, US.
