The flight test of the CMA-9000 flight management system (FMS) has been performed on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) by Canadian and Russian pilots.
During the test, Canadian and Russian pilots performed three joint flights on the SSJ100, as well as six sessions on the electronic bird test bench to evaluate the operational suitability of the system.
The experts conducted thorough checks of vertical navigation functions during the flight test in order to evaluate the system capability to follow the vertical trajectory.
The verifications were carried out to ensure safety and aircraft performance in dense air traffic operations.
The FMS is developed by Esterline CMC Electronics and integrated onto the SSJ100 by Thales Avionics.
