Gulfstream Aerospace is to expand its Savannah facilities as part of a $500m, seven-year plan.
Gulfstream president Joe Lombardo said the expansion was necessary to meet the projected increase for new business jets and the maintenance that will follow.
The expansion will include building new facilities at the north-west quadrant of the Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport and renovating several existing facilities on the main campus off Gulfstream Road in Georgia, US.
The plan will also include expanding office and lab facilities at the Gulfstream Research Development Center in Crossroads Business Park.
Gulfstream carried out a $400m expansion of its Savannah facility in March 2006.
