Kaman Corporation is set to acquire Global Aerosystems, a provider of aerostructure engineering design analysis and FAA certification services to the aerospace industry.
Kaman Aerospace group president Greg Steiner said that together, the companies will be able to take responsibility for engineering design and production of aerostructure assemblies to produce metallic and composite component fabrications and subassemblies.
This is the fourth acquisition made by Kaman this year, which contributes to its strategy to add critical skill-sets and capabilities to its organic growth and increase in value-added services.
Global Aerosystems, expected to have sales of about $20m in 2010, supplies engineering and design services to firms including Boeing, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Aircraft, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Bombardier.
