BAE Systems is to supply its new touchscreen attendant control panel (ACP) for Boeing’s next-generation 737 Sky interior.
The modernised ACP features an intuitive, reconfigurable, touchscreen display that enables flexible, user-friendly control of a number of cabin system functions on the airplane.
Configurable to airline preferences, the panel controls a number of cabin system functions including dynamic mood lighting, environmental systems and data collection of cabin equipment faults.
Equipped with a laptop-based software tool, the ACP will allow airline personnel to modify lighting requirements associated with changes to the passenger cabin layout, and control and modify lighting scenes onboard the aircraft.
BAE Systems director of commercial electronics Steve Hissong said the company had partnered with Boeing to provide a configurable touchscreen display panel that would offer airlines greater flexibility in how they control and monitor cabin system functions.
