Nasa has awarded the Enterprise Applications Service Technologies contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

SAIC will provide services for the Nasa Enterprise Applications Competency Center.

Under the contract, SAIC will be provide all the services necessary to operate and maintain Nasa’s set of integrated enterprise application systems supporting all ten Nasa field centres, Nasa headquarters in Washington and the Nasa Shared Services Center in Mississippi in the US.

The contract will be managed by Nasa’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama, US.

The contract will begin on 1 February 2011 and consist of a two-year base period, followed by two-year and one-year options.

The contract is valued at $85.6m for the base period and will increase to $321.2m if all options are exercised.
