Around a decade ago, EUROCONTROL created a concept to increase the efficiency of airports, airlines, ATC, ground handlers and other organisations with a vested interest in getting air travellers to their destination on time.

Known as airport collaborative design making (CDM), the idea was to equip every airport partner with highly accurate, common constantly updated information and so radically improve their ability to forward plan.
