We installed one of our first of many projects of full aircraft warning light systems for the UK’s largest telecommunications company at one of their sites, based in Redruth, Cornwall. The project was finalised with eight AWLs and four levels, with two warning lights per level. Circuit A and Circuit B were running from the ground to the top of the structure in compliance with the customer’s regulations and requirements.

The installation also included a UPS control panel, brackets, a junction box, photocells, and a master controller. The system fully complies with ICAO regulations and FAA requirements and has built in safety measures in place, such as BMS fault monitoring and warning systems.

The project was completed within three weeks, with no lost time, accidents, or other damages. Six workers carried out the installation.

Materials used for the installation include:

  • Eight WL3000 aircraft warning lights
  • Four stainless steel junction boxes
  • Two transformers
  • A custom-made control panel
  • A 500m cable
