Rockwell Collins Passenger Processing Platform Selected for Dublin and Cork Airports

Whether improving the flow of passengers through the check-in process or reducing costs through shared resources, both Cork and Dublin airports and their passengers will benefit from the recent selection of Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE™ common-use passenger processing platform (CUPPS).

"We are experiencing record breaking passenger growth and we need a system that provides a faster and easier check-in experience for our airline customers and passengers," said daa CIO, Maurice Hennessy. "ARINC vMUSE gives us that and enables airlines to share workstations, making the best use of existing resources."

ARINC vMUSE CUPPS enables airlines to process passengers at any workstation or boarding gate at an airport, allowing faster check-in and reduced costs.

"The scalability of the ARINC vMUSE CUPPS platform makes it an ideal solution for the largest of airports as well as regional ones that may have capacity and cost constraints," said Paul Hickox, head of Airport Systems Sales for Rockwell Collins. "With this latest agreement, all of the common use airports in Ireland are now using the ARINC CUPPS platform."

The 1-to-Many matching approach is being promoted for use in airports because it removes the requirement for passengers to produce a BCBP or passport.
