Global market leader Vanderlande will be present at the Bahrain International Airport Development Forum, Manama on 1-2 April, 2015.

Mr Tjarko Bouman, Director Service Development at Vanderlande, will deliver a speech about how the company’s lifecycle support can make a real difference in adding value to automated baggage handling solutions throughout their entire lifetime. Join us at the conference to find out more, and visit us at stand number A13.

During the presentation, Mr Bouman will outline Vanderlande’s philosophy towards operations and maintenance (O&M), with a focus on aligning airports’ long-term objectives for day-to-day baggage handling performance.

The philosophy, supported by the company’s intelligent software and lifecycle support programme, delivers the complete package to give any airport a competitive edge when coping with increasing passenger numbers and other future demands.

An ever-increasing number of airports not only choose state-of-the-art baggage handling systems from Vanderlande, but also opt for optimised O&M, supported by a dedicated team from the same OEM supplier.

As well as direct, on-the-spot maintenance response, Vanderlande’s site-based services are focused on the improvement of logistical processes. This is possible due to its extensive experience in this sector, and by making use of modern and efficient software tools, such as process monitoring and MMS (mobile maintenance solution).

This is beneficial in terms of reliability, availability, performance and cost of ownership. It also means each system is always optimally matched to the latest operational needs. This offers the assurance of an agreed system availability level, plus the flexibility to deal with ever-changing business needs.

In the Middle East, Vanderlande has a long track record of delivering, operating and maintaining value-added baggage handling solutions. Over 35 operational systems testify to this, including Bahrain International Airport, Hajj, North and South Terminals of King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, Kuwait International Airport, Sharjah International Airport, Dubai Royal Wing and Cairo International Airport Terminals 3 and 4.

Recently Vanderlande also signed a site-based contract with Dubai Airports for the existing BHS system at Dubai World Central and the new terminal at Madinah Airport. These are just two impressive examples from the 100 site-based contracts that Vanderlande manages worldwide.
