Ball Aerospace has been selected to supply the second global precipitation measurement microwave imager (GMI) to Nasa.

The GMI 2 microwave imager, identical to GPM 1 microwave imagers, is a multichannel, conical-scanning, microwave radiometers being used for near-global-coverage and frequent-revisit-time requirements of global precipitation measurement (GPM) mission.
