Boeing will deliver 15 737-800 aircraft to Norwegian Air Shuttle under an agreement signed at the Farnborough International Air Show.
The agreement is part of a 2007 order for 42 next-generation 737 aircraft and 42 purchase rights, and the airline is now exercising purchasing rights from the order.

Valued at $1.15bn, the new order increases the airline’s unfilled orders to 59 next-generation 737s.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice-president sales and marketing Marlin Dailey said increasing the production rate of the Next-Generation 737 enabled it to support the growth ambitions of successful carriers like Norwegian.
“At the same time, we are improving the performance of the next-generation 737 to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by a further 2%,” he said.
