DFT AVIATION SECURITY MANAGERS' INITIAL COURSE

This mandatory course is aimed at security managers employed by airports, airlines and their agents, in-flight catering undertakings and secure clean contractors who have direct managerial responsibilities for security personnel carrying out aviation security duties.

Managers will be provided with information to enable them to understand the aims and objectives of the aviation security organisation, the threat to civil aviation and risks to its security and to be able to implement current security policies and procedures outlined in the relevant airport or airline security program.

GENERAL SECURITY AWARENESS TRAINING (GSAT)

Redline Aviation Security and Quadratica (UK) have jointly developed a General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) package. This package employs the very latest thinking in targeted training delivery techniques and Computer-Based Training (CBT) technology.

FLIGHT DECK AND CABIN CREW SECURITY TRAINING

Current UK legislation specifies that security measures must be established and enforced by airports and airlines to protect passengers, cargo and property. Training of your company’s security staff and operating crews forms a considerable part of these security regulations.

Redline’s security instructors offer you targeted training courses to meet your legal obligations and ultimately prepare your last line of defence against threat or attack.

The aim of the aircrew security course is to provide aircrew and cabin crew with the necessary information to enable them to remain security conscious, and to understand what measures must be taken to minimise the consequences of a security breach or incident.

RECOGNITION OF FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES (RFX) TRAINING

This one-day course is designed to update RFX instructors on recent developments in the world of firearms, explosives and incendiaries. It is also used as an opportunity to provide the latest information on improvised weapons and methods of concealment.

RFX refresher training must be completed every three years by those instructors who require an ID card to possess inert RFX training aids.

CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND DISRUPTIVE PASSENGER RESTRAINT

Disruptive passenger management, conflict management and restraint training is rapidly evolving in the areas of public transport (aviation, shipping and rail), private businesses, government meetings, the health service and the education sector.

Successful application of conflict resolution skills and restraint techniques depends increasingly on a firm understanding of concepts and demonstrated knowledge of a broad variety of individual and team skills.
