"Not only is high-definition desired, but operators want a reliable cabin system that is built to meet today’s needs and architected to enable future insertion of new technologies," Austin said.

Installation work will be carried out during a modernisation event.

Jet Aviation St Louis avionics sales manager David Loso added that the aircraft will undergo its 8C inspection and the client has elected to refurbish the interior, paint the aircraft and have the Venue system installed in conjunction with the inspection.

“Operators want a reliable cabin system that is built to meet today’s needs and architected to enable future insertion of new technologies.”

"A significant maintenance event like this is an ideal time for a Venue installation because it provides interior access and saves overall downtime," Loso said.

The Venue HD retrofit includes self-generated 10.6in HD touch-screen displays in the cabin and galley, 4in personal touch-screen programmable switch panel and audio video on demand (AVOD) system.

Touch-screen displays allow for easy control of cabin functions and interact with Rockwell Collins’s Airshow moving map, while the programmable switch panel enables control of cabin environmental functions and to access audio/video content.

The AVOD system allows loading and access of content by multiple displays within the cabin so that multiple users can view or listen to the same audio and video simultaneously or individually.

Claimed to be industry’s first complete HD cabin management system for business aircraft, Venue has been installed on more than 140 airplanes, according to Rockwell.
