Czech Republic-based Evektor has selected Esterline CMC Electronics’ SmartDeck integrated avionics suite for its multipurpose EV-55 Outback aircraft.
Esterline’s FAA certified SmartDeck system will offer a user interface that enhances the ease and precision of flight management and simplifies flight operations.
The system will also offer the growth capability to meet evolving air traffic management needs and support maintainability.
The avionics suite, through SmartDeck’s pilot oriented incorporation of navigation, communication, surveillance, electronic charts and moving map functions and its synthetic vision, will deliver enhanced functionality and situational awareness making flying easier and safer.
Esterline CMC Electronics president, Greg Yeldon, said: "Flexibility is at the core of our design philosophy and we look forward to working with Evektor and supporting their evolving needs."
