Sirius XM-5, a telecommunications satellite for Sirius XM radio, has arrived at the Baikonur Space Centre in Kazakhstan for launch in October 2010.

The satellite and a range of support equipment have been unloaded, and will undergo final assembly and testing at the launch site, according to Ria Novosti.

The launch is scheduled for 14 October 2010 atop a Proton-M rocket.

Final assembly of the rocket began at Baikonur last month.
