Bombardier will provide two Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft to Smart Aviation Company of Cairo, Egypt, for about $62m.
The contract also includes an option for three additional Q400s, and the value of the order will increase to $158m if all three options are exercised.

Smart Aviation, a corporate jet aircraft charter operator, will use its Q400 NextGen aircraft to launch scheduled and charter services to complement its corporate aircraft activities throughout the Middle East.
Optimised for short-haul operations, the 70 to 80-seat Q400 NextGen aircraft is a large, fast, quiet and fuel-efficient turboprop.
Smart Aviation chairman and managing director Wael El-Maadawy said that Middle Eastern tourism and business travel were growing steadily and the firm wants to be in a position to meet this growth with efficient, reliable, economical and passenger-friendly aircraft.
Bombardier Commercial Aircraft president Gary R Scott said that the Q400 NextGen aircraft was optimised for the intra-regional, shorter routes in expanding the North African and Middle Eastern travel market.
