The ZA005 will be used to test the GE engine package and verify that changes made do not affect the airplane’s handling characteristics.

The sixth and final 787 to join the flight test programme is expected to fly before the end of July 2010.

Once the flight tests are complete and the aircraft is ready for delivery, the Dreamliner will be capable of flying up to 8,200nm with up to 290 passengers.
