Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) will maintain the engines for the Eurowings fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft for a period of eight years under a new agreement.

The 15 bombardier jetliners are powered by General Electric CF34-8C engines.

The contract will also include further CRJ900s to be phased into the airline’s fleet.

Eurowings joint CEO Peter Kranich said the collaboration for engine maintenance was part of a concerted effort on its part to achieve the maximum possible reliability in its flying operations.
