Boeing’s 787-3 Dreamliner is unlikely to go into production, according to the company’s head of the commercial division James Albaugh.
Albaugh told Bloomburg he would “be really surprised” if the variant ever got built, speaking the day before the International Air Transport Association annual meeting in Berlin, Germany.

The 787-3 was designed to carry up to 330 passengers a range of 3,050nm, compared with the 787-8, which has a capacity of 250 a distance of 8,200nm.
All Nippon Airways changed its order for 787-3s in January in favour of another aircraft, which forced Boeing to put the whole programme under review.
The Dreamliner project has been plagued with delays as manufacturers have struggled to develop the new technologies required for the supersize passenger jet.
