The spacecraft carried equipment for the Japanese Kibo laboratory and seven crew members to the space station where, following leak checks, the hatches where opened creating a 13-member space crew, the largest in history.

The spacecraft approached each other at 28,000km/h and had a margin of error of 4.5cm to complete the docking procedure.
The STS-127 mission will also include five spacewalks.
The Endeavour crew has already completed the first spacewalk and is preparing to make the second.
