This standard signifies that the company’s precision machining facility complies with quality assurance in design, new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing and servicing.

Sanmina-SCI’s Newark facility director of operations for precision machining components and plant manager Serhan Aydin said the award highlights the company’s strong market position.

“The ability to support defence and aerospace customers with high-quality precision machined components at our Newark facility emphasises Sanmina-SCI’s growth and leadership position in this key market segment.”

The AS9100 certificate is given for improving quality and reducing cost throughout the supply chain in the aerospace industry. It has been developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group.
