Rockwell Collins’ new integrated avionics system Pro Line Fusion has received its final technical standard order (TSO) from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The TSO certifies the hardware and software for Pro Line Fusion and paves the way for supplemental type certification (STC) on Rockwell Collins’ Challenger 601 test aircraft and on Bombardier’s Global Express XRS aircraft.

The avionics system features synthetic vision on a head-up display (HUD), networked capability enabling interoperability between onboard and ground systems and is fitted with large high-resolution displays.

Rockwell Collins Business and Regional Systems vice-president and general manager Greg Irmen said that with TSOs for all 50 hardware and software for Pro Line Fusion, the focus is on obtaining an STC of the full system on the test aircraft.
