El Al Israel Airlines has purchased a Boeing 747-400 from RB Leasing Company for $23m, which also includes the cost to upgrade the plane to El Al’s requirement.

El Al will take delivery of the 747, which was built in 1996, for use on medium- and long-haul routes.
