ILFC chief executive Henri Courpron said that the company was also in talks with Bombardier for its CSeries aircraft, scheduled to enter service at the end of 2013, and with Brazilian company Embraer.

Coupron said, “In the next 15 years, we’ll need about 650 single-aisle planes. By that time, the majority of our single-aisle aircraft will be more than 20 years old and unless we want to shrink, you can imagine we’d want to replace every plane in our portfolio.”

ILFC, which placed its last order in 2007, will take delivery of ten new aircraft in 2012, according to Bloomberg.
