The independent safety review on flight safety looked into all internal operating modes, decision-making processes and practices that affect Air France flights.
The review was initiated in 2009 by Air France chairperson Jean-Cyril Spinetta, six months after one of its flights en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris crashed, leaving all 228 people onboard dead.
Air France has implemented preliminary recommendations suggested by the review, including the creation of the flight safety committee within the Air France board of directors, and the launch of an in-flight observations campaign and the line operations safety audit.
