Rolls-Royce has received a share of an order from TAM Airlines to supply V2500 engines to power ten Airbus aircraft.

Rolls-Royce has secured an order worth $100m as part of the contract.

The contract includes a long-term engine service agreement for seven A321s and three A319s, which are to be delivered to TAM Airlines from 2011.

The 22,000lb–33,000lb thrust V2500 engine powers the Airbus A319, A320 and A321 family of aircraft as well as the Airbus corporate jetliner.

The V2500 is produced by International Aero Engines consortium (IAE), of which Rolls-Royce is a senior shareholder.
