The Hitzinger PIT POWER is a power supply system which is installed close to the aircraft reducing costs and operating time.

From aircraft assembling lines, production lines and MRO, we offer all in-ground applications for civil and military customers. From our experience and knowledge, we deliver flexible solutions to fulfil all your needs and design requirements.

Reliable power

From its counterweight mechanism, the PIT is always ready for use. Additionally, it can be lowered into the pit at any time, which means the apron will not be blocked.

Reduced operating time

As the pit is installed next to the aircraft, the time of using the auxiliary power unit can be reduced. This means reduction in costs and environmental pollution.

Less damages

No additional vehicles have to be brought near to the aircraft and thus, the risk of damage to the airplane is reduced. Furthermore, in the closed position, the PIT is locked and flush with the ground.

Technical highlights

  • Built according to EN124 F900, holds 90 tons of weight
  • Available as explosion, sand or winter proof
