Global airline alliance Star Alliance has extended its partnership with information technology services and consulting company TCS to enhance the travel experience for customers.

As part of the expanded partnership, TCS will deploy AWS technology in the areas of data analytics, business intelligence and machine learning.

The solution will enable member airlines to provide real-time, predictive capabilities and faster, more informed decision-making for the 654 million customers.

It will also help improve the business performance and innovative ability of Star Alliance members.

TCS Europe travel transportation and hospitality head Arun Pradeep said: “Having transformed Star Alliance’s IT with our cloud-first strategy using AWS, we are now helping them unlock further value by harnessing capabilities around advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver higher levels of personalisation and superior customer experiences.”

Last month, Star Alliance partnered with digital engineering and technology solutions provider Nagarro to upgrade its flight-and-fare search user interface (UI) and a single biometric facial recognition system.
